Byrne Canaan Law Welcomes Selna Shi

We’re thrilled to welcome Selna Shi to Byrne Canaan Law as a Litigation Assistant as she begins her legal career with us. A native of Southwest Virginia, Selna moved to Richmond to attend VCU, where she graduated in 2023 with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Urban Planning. With a background that includes editing for her university’s newspaper and working in public relations at the Office of Elections, Selna brings strong skills in writing, research, and a keen understanding of state and local issues—qualities that align perfectly with our firm’s mission of providing insightful, thorough, and client-focused legal advocacy. Selna’s passion for the law and her future plans to attend law school reflect the drive, initiative, and professionalism we value deeply at Byrne Canaan Law.
