Ericka Kopp focuses her practice on health care litigation, administrative law, and white collar criminal defense. She represents providers and professionals in complex civil, regulatory, and criminal matters. Her background in forensic science, prior work as a paralegal for an appellate criminal defense attorney, and experience in health care law give her a unique perspective in these cases.

Ericka regularly advises clients in matters involving government investigations, administrative enforcement actions, and high-stakes litigation. She has represented health care providers in cases involving allegations of medical negligence, professional licensure issues, and claims brought under state and federal law.

Before entering private practice, Ericka clerked in the Chesterfield Circuit Court for the Honorable M. Duncan Minton, Jr. Before coming to BCL, she was an associate attorney at another local firm where she defended clients in medical malpractice cases, allegations of civil rights violations, and general litigation matters.

Ericka is an active part of the state and local legal community, having served as a past member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys Annual Planning Committee. She is also a member of the Richmond Bar Association, Old Dominion Bar Association, Hill-Tucker Bar Association, and the John Marshall Inn of Court.

Ericka earned her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Richmond School of Law, where she was recognized for her academic excellence. She received her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, in Forensic Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
