Attorney
Tyler Rankin focuses on defending health care providers in medical malpractice litigation, appeals, government investigations, licensing disputes, audits, regulatory investigations, and administrative hearings. He assists his clients through all stages of the litigation process from crafting a defense strategy, conducting pertinent case research, and answering the complaint to negotiating settlement or proceeding to trial. His matter-of-fact attitude allows him to advise his clients of which strategy will likely result in the best possible outcome and his diligence allows him to execute on that strategy.
Prior to joining the firm, Tyler clerked in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit of Virginia. The clerkship provided an invaluable opportunity to observe and experience a broad range of civil motions practice and trial work.
Tyler received his undergraduate degree from George Mason University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Richmond School of Law. During law school, he was a member of both the Trial Advocacy Board and the Client Counseling and Negotiation Board.
