Litigation Assistant
Selna Shi is a litigation assistant beginning her legal career at Byrne Canaan Law. Originally from Southwest Virginia, she moved to Richmond to attend college at VCU, where she graduated in 2023 with a bachelor's degree in political science and a minor in Urban Planning.
While in school, Selna served as an editor for the school newspaper, where she developed an interest in writing, research and covering state and local politics. Selna continued exploring her interests at the Office of Elections, where she worked as a public relations specialist. She later decided to shift her focus to working in the legal field, as she's always been interested in law and plans to attend law school in the future.
