Attorney
Ericka W. Kopp centers her practice around the defense of health care providers. She is a zealous advocate in the defense of her clients, providing both thorough and thoughtful representation in a client-centered approach.
Prior to joining Byrne Canaan Law, Ericka represented clients in a variety of general and health care-specific cases at another Virginia firm. She brings with her a host of experiences in Virginia General District and Circuit Courts as well as federal court.
Although originally from Tampa, Florida, Ericka considers the Richmond, Virginia area to be home. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond School of Law. During law school, Ericka participated in the Wrongful Convictions Clinic where she played a role in the release of a 26-year incarcerated individual. She externed with the Honorable Randall G. Johnson, Jr., of Henrico County Circuit Court. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable M. Duncan Minton, Jr., of Chesterfield County Circuit Court.
Outside of the office, Ericka enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs in addition to staying active. She is the captain of a Richmond-area co-ed ice hockey team and practices gymnastics.
